Google Resveratrol Search
Do You Notice Anything Strange About the Above Image?
The first two results you see in Google when searching on Resveratrol mention Dr. Oz and Dr. Os . There are about 20 other links for Resveratrol that imply that Dr. Oz recommends their Resveratrol product. Okay, if you are new to Resveratrol or Dr. Oz – let’s backup for a minute…
What is Resveratrol?
Resveratrol (trans-resveratrol) is something called a phytoalexin. Phytoalexin is produced by some plants to help protect it from attacks from bactteria or fungi. Resveratrol is found in red grapes and Japanese Knotweed.
As most of our readers are not plants – you are probably wondering why anyone would care about Resveratrol. Well, the fact that mouse studies have shown that Resveratrol may prolong life and improve numerous health functions has got a lot of people’s attention. Resveratrol has been featured on 60 Minutes where they called it a Fountain of Youth.
Of course, much more research needs to be done on Resveratrol (and more specifically trans-resveratrol), but it does look like a very interesting substance.
Who is Dr. Oz?
No we are not talking about the Wizard of Oz here, rather a very popular Doctor named Mehmet Oz. Dr. Oz is a frequent guest on Oprah and is the author of numerous best selling books on living healthy and living longer. Dr. Oz did appear on Oprah and talked about the benefits of Resveratrol
Back to the picture – What is Wrong?
While Dr. Oz does appear to be a fan of Resveratrol – he does NOT endorse any specific Resveratrol product.

Dr. Oz Does NOT Endorse Any Specific Resveratrol Supplement!
Don’t believe us, here is the quote from Oprah’s site -
Neither Oprah nor Dr. Oz are associated with nor do they endorse any specific resveratrol product, company or online solicitation of such products. Any companies that misrepresent their affiliation are making false claims. Harpo attorneys are pursuing companies that claim such an affiliation.

So there you have it, the secret is out – do NOT believe the ads and website claiming they have a Resveratrol product endorsed by Dr. Oz or Oprah – it simply is not true.
